So after the awesome that was WMC down in South Beach - my first ever trek down there for it this year, I got exposed to some of the best dj’s and artists I’ll see the entire year. That’s right I finally, under duress and peer pressure, got myself a myspace. Don’t worry I was kicking and screaming all the way along too. I never realized how GARBAGE the myspace layouts were and how absolute shit it was to code for…I’m still working on creating a better music player that works on myspace that I can use to dynamically load mp3s through to play via xml (since the default myspace one is…terrible to say the least). If only It was as great as Virb’s player, I would LOVE it.

I decided to have a go with another dj who happened to be from Leeds. We decided on doing 20 mins each before passing the mp3 back to the other person to mix from. Mostly, as you can tell, the tunes stay more breaks than anything else, but I tried varying it up a bit throwing some electro in as well. So I did this mix yesterday while waiting around before I went out for the afternoon, really just because I had nothing to do, and a whole lot of great tunes that I was listening to all week long - so why not do a mix up with them? If you enjoyed the last mix I did (Indie House Dance Rock mix) then you’ll love this one. Even if you didn’t, you’re still gonna love it as it’s THAT much more gooder. This time I also let the songs play out a bit more and varied the tunes up more-so as well, with 34 songs instead of the 40+ in the last one. Right off the bat I want to thank Lazerbitch and the mighty AJ/Treasure Fingers for sending tunes my way - they’re VERY good - keep em coming boys. Soooo, I did this mix over the weekend after spending a LOT of the past week getting the songs together to do a mix up of the indie dance rock and electro house styles. Took me a while but I finally got it done (I’ve been wanting to do a mix of this stuff for a good month now, but I just haven’t had the time really). Originally I was just going to do 2 different mixes - 1 being an indie rock mix and another to be straight electro house.
